“I would say music been the strongest relationship I have. It helps me focus on the real shit and weed out fake people. Less distractions.” – KasFlow
If SoundCloud plays and buzz are indications of digital music’s impact and buzz of the artist, KasFlow is right in line with [currently] larger artists from Atlanta’s “I don’t need a label, I can do it on my own” music ecosystem.
*Kas turned 21 at the top of this week. I was able to get in touch with him to talk about how he plans to celebrate the occasion.
Jack Lester: What’s the most cliché thing you’ll partake in now that you’re 21?
KasFlow: “Obviously hit the bar on some happy young nigga shit, lol.”
JL: Will going to 21+ venues without sneaking in or using your “face card” be less fun now?
KF: “It might be less a thrill, but I don’t think it’ll be that much of a difference. I guess going will be less strategic, lol.”
JL: 21 bars…is that more of an alcohol or rap reference for you right now?
KF: “I guess now it’s both really…”
JL: A double entendre?
KF: “Yeah. But more on the rap side.”
JL: At this point in life, what’s the strongest relationship you have (music, friends, all things considered)?
KF: “I would say music been the strongest relationship I have. It helps me focus on the real shit and weed out fake people. Less distractions.”
JL: Will you drunken freestyle at any point this week?
KF: “Only like 21 of them hoes, lol!”
